Update on yesterday’s Forex Forecast. XAUUSD triggers buy at 1737.30 and still in long position with Gold rallying around 20 points. Consider raising stops to break even. EURSUD dropped off the 1.3300 resistance by actually forming a double top pattern approximately 7 pips below 1.3300. Stock market fizzled off the overbought levels mentioned in yesterday’s analysis, so the multi-day pullback may have already begun. USDCHF also headed lower as discussed in yesterday’s market forecast.

Scalping is very demanding and you have to develop quick reflexes and “nerves of steel” to do it. Most people that say they know how to scalp currencies, usually become paralyzed when the price quickly moves against them. You need to be mentally ready. Thank you for your comments about our Forex Demo post. Hopefully more people will consider how liquidity and latency can affect their trading methodology before assuming that their real account will be exactly like their demo.

You are correct Khalid. We are not saying that the Forex strategy itself is not important. It is. You need to make sure that the strategy is solid. What we’re saying is that FX traders shouldn’t think one-dimensionally and waste their time trying to find the “best” or “perfect” strategy. As mentioned on this blog post, factors other than the strategy itself are essential as well.
